Today we travel to Lancaster, PA. Dinner tonight will be a trip highlight – we will dine in an Amish home.

Adventure Day 2 – Tuesday, July 7, 2009
After a hot buffet breakfast at the hotel, we will tour some Amish farmlands, observing their traditional farming methods. Next we visit Kitchen Kettle Village where we stroll through 42 shops and restaurants built around the nationally celebrated Jam and Relish Kitchen. Sample pepper jam, watch fudge being rolled, listen as Banjo Jimmy plays a tune and much more. Enjoy lunch here on your own. We will visit the Intercourse Canning Company, an authentic cannery with Amish and Mennonite folks working in the kitchen. Dinner tonight will be on our own before attending the Sight and Sound Theater. We will become absorbed in the Biblical musical performed on an epic scale. The 300-foot long wrap-around stage features state of the art lighting, sound and special effects. Live animals are included in the production.

Adventure Day 3 – Wednesday, July 8, 2009
Our day starts with a hot buffet breakfast at our hotel. Then we visit Kreider Farms, a real working farm supplying eggs, milk, drinks and churned ice cream to wholesalers and stores throughout the region. Here old-fashioned dedication to quality is harnessed with state-of-the-art technology. Our bus will actually drive through the barn and view the “milking merry go round”.

Adventure Day 4 – Thursday, July 9, 2009
We're getting pretty familiar with this hot buffet breakfast by now! This morning we depart for Gettysburg. Gettysburg is the place where 165,000 soldiers met to fight for their beliefs. It is the place where Abraham Lincoln helped mend a torn nation with his Gettysburg Address, and the place where millions have stood to reflect on the importance of the events that occurred here. Since the smoke cleared from the battlefield in 1863, Gettysburg has been a must-see for every American. And with the transformation that is occurring on this hallowed ground, this national landmark must be seen again. Our first stop is the brand new Museum and Visitor Center that includes the Gettysburg Cyclorama Experience, the Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War, and an awe-inspiring film, A New Birth of Freedom. On our guided tour of the 6000 acre battlefield, we will gain new insight into the Civil War. Lunch will be at Dobbin House Tavern, a colonial restaurant on the National Register of Historic Places. The gracious service and superior food in abundance brings back the sights, sounds and tastes of two centuries ago. A visit to the Jennie Wade House will allow us to experience life as it was during the Civil War. It is authentically furnished from cellar to attic. Tonight we will enjoy dinner, shopping, music and fun at Boyd's Bear Country, “The World's Most Humongous Teddy Bear Store”.

Adventure Day 5 – Friday, July 10, 2009
After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and head for Hershey, PA for the chocolate experience. The air smells of chocolate and even the lamp posts are shaped like kisses. Fun and sweetness meet adventure and excitement at Hershey's Chocolate World attraction, a totally inter-active experience for all and a shopper's paradise.
